The Girls Inc. Women of the 21st Century Club held its second Speaker Event on Thursday, March 31st, 2005. The topic was "Women and Girls in Leadership." Helen Waters, President of the Institute for Women's Leadership," served as special guest speaker. Middle School girls in Girls Inc.'s "In Our Own Hands" leadership program also gave a presentation about what they are learning about leadership and how they are demonstrating leadership skills through organizing a community service project. The event was from 6:30-8:30 PM at our Meyers Center, 1724 Santa Clara Ave. in Alameda.
