Join Girls Inc. for a Discussion about the
Power of the Media and its Influence on Body Image
Images of female bodies are everywhere. Women - and
their body parts - sell everything from food to cars.
Media messages bombard today's girls and exert a powerful
influence on how they feel about themselves and what
they think it means to be a woman.
Join Girls Incorporated of the Island City for a discussion
about "Media Literacy and Body Image" put
on by the organization's fundraising group, The
Women of the 21st Century Club.
