Girls Incorporated of the Island City is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization with a dedicated staff. We could not bring our quality programs to the girls of Alameda without the help of enthusiastic people from the community. GIRLfriends
(formerly Women of the 21st Century Club) A membership group of women that supports Girls Inc of the Island City services and programs. As a member supporter of the organization, the members only group sponsors fundraisers, raises money for scholarships, serves as ambassadors to the community for girls’ and raises awareness of girls issues and acts as a spokesperson for Girls Incorporated of the Island City. more...Board Committees
The board members at Girls Incorporated of the Island City meet the second Thursday of every month. In addition, some board members hold special offices and all board members serve on a variety of very important "working" committees. Community supporters are always welcome to become board committee members.Committee members are dedicated to one of several special committees to support our members, programs and special advisory groups.
