Ways to Give

Cash

Gifts of cash are the most common form of support to Girls Inc of the Island City. Please make checks payable to Girls Inc of the Island City and send to Development Office, 1724 Santa Clara Ave., Alameda, CA 94501.

Pledge

You can make a pledge by clicking here. You may also send your pledge directly to the Girls Inc of the Island City. Your pledge will be recorded upon receipt and you will receive an acknowledgment from our organization.

Credit Cards

Making pledges and donations through the use of VISA and MasterCard for making contributions to Girls Inc of the Island City saves us time and money. For pledges no reminders need to be sent. Corporate Matching Gifts

Many corporations offer matching gift programs for employees and their families, allowing you to increase the impact of your gift. Most programs match on a dollar per dollar basis. A matching gift can often double or triple your gift, and all matching support is credited programs, annual fund, endowed funds or capital projects. Contact your human resources office for a matching gift form; complete the form and mail it to the Development Office at the above address with your gift.

IRA Rollover Provisions

Recently enacted legislation extended the ability of individuals age 70 1/2 and older to make distributions up to $100,000.00 per year to tax exempt organizations. These IRA distributions would be excluded from taxable income and therefore no income taxes would be due on IRA distributions made to Dana Hall School. If you would like to discuss this option, please contact Development and Communications Director, Kellee Hearn or call 510.521.1743 ext. 201.

Memorial Gifts

Each year Girls Inc of the Island City receives many gifts in memory of classmates, parents, etc. When memorial gifts are received, the Development Office notifies the family member(s) of the deceased. Memorial gifts can be directed to the Annual Fund, endowed funds or capital projects.
