Join Us to Create Holiday Magic for Alameda Youth

The Girls Inc. of Island City’s Wonderland Kids’ Market is a beloved annual tradition that brings joy, warmth, and a sense of wonder to hundreds of girls and youth during the holiday season. On December 11, we’ll once again transform our space into a festive holiday marketplace complete with gifts, cocoa, décor, and the magic of community support.

This event is made possible entirely through the generosity of volunteers and donors. We invite you to join us in making this year’s Wonderland just as joyful and memorable.

Please donate your gently used or new items at 1724 Santa Clara Ave. Alameda between 10:30a and 4p:

  • Toys, puzzles, and games for all ages
  • Books for all ages (including adults as kids will be “shopping” for their grown ups also.
  • Arts & crafts (paint sets, canvases, markers)
  • Jewelry, scarves, fun socks, gloves
  • Kitchen & houseware (mugs, water bottles, decorative tea sets, candles, picture frames)
  • Sports memorabilia (cards, figurines, bats, gloves, posters)
  • Pet supplies

NOTE: Shoes, clothing, bedding, weapons, alcohol/nicotine imagery, incomplete games/puzzles CANNOT be accepted

We’re seeking volunteers to support a variety of roles throughout the day:

  • Wonderland Market Set-Up & Outside Décor (morning)
  • Gift Wrapping Station & Wonderland Helpers (supporting kids as they “shop”)
  • Cocoa Station Attendants
  • Wonderland Cashiers
  • Clean-Up Crew (all hands on deck!)

Employee resource groups and company teams are welcome! Girls Inc. will highlight participating companies on social media to recognize their support of girls, youth, and families.
